Our Story

A dream come true.

For two years, we restored a small 1908 foursquare home across the street from the Simmons House. During that time, we dreamed of becoming owners of this majestic property. One day that dream became a reality. Armed with our passion for historic structures and a love for this community, we endeavored to create a space that the citizens of Water Valley could be proud of.

Honor the history.

It wasn’t until we began restoration, that we truly understood what this building meant for the community. Past owners came to us with stories - evenings together on the side porch, the meticulously maintained gardens that used to exist out back. We learned about Dr. William Simmons who completed construction of this home in 1871 but died only two years later. We honor his legacy and the impact he had in Yalobusha County.

Reconstruction begins.

We invite you to join us!

After much anticipation and covid-related construction delays, we are excited to officially open our doors in 2021. If you are interested in hosting an event at the Simmons House, contact our team to schedule a property viewing in person. We are certain you will be captivated by this place just like we were.
